Department of International Economic Relations at Dimitar Tsenov Academy of Economics - Svishtov organizes its twenty-ninth student scientific and practical conference. Students must meet the following participation criteria:

The works approved for participation are published in the electronic journal "Global and Regional Dimensions of International Economic Relations" abbreviated as GRDIER. The journal is a scientific publication of the D. A. Tsenov Academy of Economics, included in the National Reference List (NRL) of contemporary Bulgarian scientific publications with scientific review. The authors do not pay fees and do not receive remuneration for sending and publishing the works.

An important place in the life of the department is occupied by the work with the students. It dates back to the first years of its establishment as a result of the imposed institutional policy and is reflected in the annual scientific-practical conference for students and doctoral students in the specialty "International Economic Relations".
The beginning of the student conference was set in 1996 on the idea and organization of Head Assistant Simeon Momchev, PhD and Prof.Ivan Stoykov, DSc. Initially, only third-year students majoring in International Economic Relations at Tsenov Academy of Economics were allowed to participate, and the research was focused on international investments.
Over the years, the conference has established itself as a place for scientific expression of students and doctoral students outside the classroom and provides an opportunity to break the formal relationship between lecturer and student. Gradually, the topic has expanded to cover all aspects of international economic relations.
Going beyond the Academy of Economics and the inclusion in 2014 of the department of the same name at University of Economics - Varna, and in 2015 of the Department of Economics at the University of Ruse "Angel Kanchev", gives students and teachers the opportunity to exchange experiences and ideas. The presented papers are published on the conference website www.mioconference.eu in an electronic edition with ISBN number.

Building professional qualities, knowledge and skills for solving problems of the real business environment related to international integration processes and the modern economy - national, European and global.
Since its establishment in 1993, more than 4,000 bachelors, masters and doctors have graduated in the specialties at the Department of IER at the Tsenov Academy of Economics in Svishtov. The teaching is carried out in full-time, part-time and distance form with modern technologies and teaching aids.
The annual scientific-practical conferences for students and PhD students in the field of international business are 29. The conference is also attended by foreign students from Russia, Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Poland, China, etc., studying at the Academy of Economics under the Erasmus + program.
The events with the participation of teachers, students and representatives from the practice for the last 5 years are over 20. The department has signed long-term contracts and memoranda of partnership with the three groups of potential users of staff - educational institutions, government agencies and international companies.
In order to maintain and expand the relations between the graduates, on March 12, 2011 a club of graduates was established at the Department of International Economic Relations - Alumni Club MIO. Club members hold various events to increase student capacity, including career advice and development. The club has its own symbols - coat of arms, motto and badge, and its own website - AlumniMIO.club
I graduated with a degree in International Economic Relations from the Academy of Economics in Svishtov and I am convinced that this is the best choice I could make.
I face many horizons and opportunities for great career development, but I would not have been able to get here if the professors and colleagues in the Department of IER had not opened my eyes to the world and how it works globally. To this day, I think I have come across the best people in all aspects, and I would not change anything in my choices so far.
Annual Student Conference
The 28th international student conference with 21 papers in five thematic areas from 4 Bulgarian universities. The event was held in person and remotely via the BigBlueButton platform.
The 27th international student conference with 12 papers in four thematic areas from 3 Bulgarian universities. The event was held jointly on site and remotely via the BigBlueButton platform.
The 26th international student conference with 7 papers in five thematic areas from 3 Bulgarian and 2 foreign universities. The event was held jointly on site and remotely via the BigBlueButton platform.
The 25th international student conference with 38 papers in nine thematic areas from 4 Bulgarian and 4 foreign universities. The event was held remotely via the BigBlueButton platform.
The 23rd student conference gathered 30 participants from 3 Bulgarian and 4 foreign universities: from Kiev National University of Economics and Donetsk National University (Ukraine), from the State University of Economics in Rostov (Russia) and from the Russian-Armenian (Slavonic) State University (Armenia), and the working languages used at the conference were Bulgarian, English and Russian. The 25 papers submitted in four thematic areas went through an anonymous review procedure before being published in the traditional electronic collection on the conference website.
22nd International Student Conference with 16 papers in five thematic areas. The conference was also attended by three Russian students from Kazan Federal University and Rostov State University of Economics, studying under the mobility program Erasmus + at Svishtov.
